Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP is pleased to announce that Lauren M. Fitch, J.D., has joined the firm as Director of Operations effective September 14, 2020. As Director of Operations, Mrs. Fitch will help oversee all business, financial and operational aspects of the firm’s offices in Baton Rouge, Denham Springs and New Orleans.
“We are very excited to have Lauren on board as our new Director of Operations,” Managing Partner Jay Montalbano said in a statement. “Her experience and strategic vision will be instrumental in growing our firm as we approach our 100-year anniversary.”
Lauren graduated from Louisiana State University with her B.S. in Business Administration then went on to graduate magna cum laude from Southern University Law Center obtaining her juris doctorate. Fitch has over 11 years of professional experience as Chief Operations Officer with a local public accounting firm, and General Counsel for a non-profit organization. Her focus has mainly been in managing technology infrastructure, internal financial operations, recruiting, business development and risk management.
Mrs. Fitch is a member of several business and civic organizations including the Metro Board of YMCA, a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, a Board member of the national CPA Firm Management Association, and previous Board President of the Rayner Learning Center.
Mrs. Fitch was recognized as 2016 “Forty Under 40” by the Baton Rouge Business Report and was quoted and featured in the 2015 Journal of Accountancy– “How to win in the game of Talent.”
