- Small Business Accountant
Our firm is seeking experienced accountants to join the Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice in Baton Rouge. This position is responsible for providing professional consulting, project management, and outsourced controller/CFO services for our CAS/Outsourced Accounting clients. These services require strong planning, communication, and organizational skills; as well as the ability to analyze complex financial data and client workflows to solve problems thoroughly and quickly. In addition, this position is responsible for a variety of general accounting duties including maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing financial reports in accordance with applicable standards. Experience with QuickBooks and other integrated 3rd party software solutions is strongly preferred. Our firm office is seeking an experienced Tax Specialist to join the New Orleans practice. This position involves evaluating and assessing complex tax issues and sophisticated tax planning for clients of the firm. Areas of focus include income, gift, and estate tax planning for closely held businesses and their owners. This position will serve as a primary technical resource for the firm and must possess strong research and analytical skills, as well as a businessman's perspective. Must have J.D. (LLM – Taxation strongly preferred), current and valid CPA License, 8+ years of public accounting or legal tax experience serving high net worth individuals, closely-held businesses, estates and trusts, investment, and professional partnerships, etc.
